Stimulated Emission Depletion (STED) Nanoscope:

Anchor 1

Leica TCS SP8 STED 3X:

  • This inverted laser scanning confocal microscope is equipped with two multi-Alkali PMTs and two Leica HyD hybrid detectors for superior signal-to-noise ratio.

  • Light sources:  A solid state white light laser for confocal imaging. 592 nm,660 nm, and 775 nm depletion lasers for STED imaging.                                      EL6000 fluorescence illuminator.

  • Motorized x-y scanning stage, z-galvo stage and resonant (8000Hz) scanner.

  • STED 3D module.

  • Combining STED and light-gating principles, this purely optical microscopy technology truly breaks the diffraction limit and can reach an instant resolution down to approx. 50 nm without data processing.

  • Live cell imaging with temperature and CO2 control.

  • A workstation with a copy of the LAS X image analysis software with Huygens STED deconvolution module is available for image analysis and processing.

Olympus IX81 Live CellTIRF microscope:

  • This inverted microscope is equipped with 60x and 100x TIRF lenses, Hamamatsu OrcaR2 CCD and Andor EMCCD cameras.

  • Light sources: 405 diode, 491 and 561 lasers and CoolLED pE-4000 illuminator.

  • Eight positions high speed excitation filter wheel for fast switching between excitation wavelengths.

  • Nose piece Piezo for fast and accurate Z-sectioning.

  • Live cell imaging with temperature and CO2 control.

  • Operating software: cellSens.
